Ferry reservations on Fridays and Sundays are a must from May through September.

If you prefer to take public transportation:

#257 Horseshoe Bay Express bus leaves downtown Vancouver in front of The Bay department store on Georgia at Granville. They run throughout the day and evening and take approximately 40 minutes. From Horseshoe Bay, enjoy the scenic 40-minute BC Ferries sailing ($8.75 return) to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast. A local shuttle or the local transit will get you to the Landing in Gibsons in less than 15 minutes.

The Langdale ferry departs Horseshoe Bay approximately every two hours throughout the day. Passage is free for BC seniors Monday to Thursday (except holidays). Schedule can change in summer, so check with BC Ferries for current times. Be sure to arrive at the ferry terminal at least 15 minutes prior to departure. The #250 Horseshoe Bay bus takes a little longer but is a more scenic route. Get a bus at least an hour prior to sailing time.

All buses require exact coin fare.

BC Ferries does not accept debit cards. Credit cards are accepted.

Parking is available at Horseshoe Bay if you prefer to drive your own car to the ferry terminal.
